Humor and Irony Assessment

    For this assignment I worked to capture an ironic situation in each photo. My first image displays men behind female manekins, their heads in place above the bodies, reaching out to each other, while the second photo shows a cat inside a bird cage, looking unhappy as the bird peers in. The lighting of the pieces display the mood of the subjects, and they are placed to create balance within the piece. My third photo, although not ironic, does display humor. My older cat is sleeping with a hat over his eyes in a brightly lit room, as an older person would do to take a nap in the sun. The picture envokes an emotional reaction from the viewer and is composed in a way that leaves no distractions from the subject and theme.
