Found Still Life Assessment

For my first still life, it was found on a rock wall near the high school. The twisted wire form is an interesting object and would be a challenge for an artist to represent in a different media. A use of natural light from above casts drastic shadows as well. In the second image I photographed my boots sitting on the floor in my living room. Light is also used from above, and therefore creates a lot of shadow and shading between the folds of the shoes. The third and final picture incorporates the rule of thirds, and with a lighting from the back, there is a great contrast of lights and darks. The photo was taken in my room with objects on top of a bureau lit from behind my a lamp.
